GPSS-3024 Goof Proof Shower Seat For New Build and Retrofit Shower installations
Goof Proof Shower Seat is a heavy duty, stay-in-place, molded plastic form that is easily installed and tiled in the same day. The Shower Seat is a comfortable 30″ wide that has guide marks on the top surface to make it easy to cut the corner seat to 24″ wide. The front face has a 3/16″ wide tile support ledge for easier tile alignment and full tile support. Open underside does not supply a nutrient source for mold or mildew growth.
Two compensating leveling vials maintain the proper minimum water drainage slope of 1/4″ per 12″ run. Capacity is rated up to 400 lbs. Screws, anchors and shims (to adjust for out of square walls, if necessary) and illustrated installation instructions are included. Weighs 7 1/2 lbs.
For Retrofit installations, the seat is installed over the tile and secured with the screws into six plastic toggle anchors.
For New installations, the seat is installed over the wall boards and secured into blocking between the studs using six 2 1/4″ long screws.
PLEASE NOTE: Core material is a heavy duty plastic. Exposing any plastic to the high temperatures found in STEAM SHOWERS or SAUNAS will cause warping. It is ONLY designed for showers.
